What exactly is Lumi?
A small animated robot that lives above your Windows taskbar. He has moods, does little things by himself, chats with you by voice or text, plays games, dances to your music and keeps you company while you work or study.
Does he work on Mac, Linux or my phone?
Not yet. Lumi is made for Windows 10 and 11.
Why do I need a Gemini API key, and does it cost money?
Lumi's conversations are powered by Google's Gemini AI using a key that belongs to you. That keeps your chats between you and Google, and means we never charge you monthly.
Google offers a free tier that covers normal everyday chatting. If you talk a lot by voice you may go past it; Google bills that to your key, and you can set your own limits in Google's dashboard. Everything else (expressions, activities, games, dancing, costumes) works without a key.
Is it really a one-time payment?
Yes. Pay once and Lumi is yours, including free updates for this version. There's no subscription.
What leaves my computer?
Only what you ask for. Your messages go to Google (through your own key) to get a reply. The screen, camera and microphone are off until you turn them on. Your account (email and name) lives with our sign-in provider. Settings, memories and the diary stay on your PC. Read the Privacy Policy for every detail.
Will he slow down my PC or my games?
He's light. In gaming mode he sits still and stays quiet, and he never reads or touches your games or other apps.
Can I use him on more than one PC?
Yes, on your own computers. Sign in with the same account on each one.
Windows says “Windows protected your PC”. Is that safe?
That's Windows' SmartScreen, which shows up for new apps it hasn't seen many times yet. Click More info, then Run anyway. Only download LumiSetup from this website.
Can I get a refund?
Yes. Email us within 14 days of buying and we'll refund you.
How do I uninstall him?
Windows Settings, then Apps, then Installed apps, then Lumi, then Uninstall. You can choose to keep or delete his memories.
Is Lumi okay for kids?
Lumi isn't meant for children under 13. Teens under 18 need a parent's OK, because chatting uses an online AI service.
Does he work without internet?
Mostly. His expressions, activities, games, dancing and costumes all work offline. Chatting needs the internet.
